Changing times

Welcome to the latest issue of Spotlight.

As we enter the final quarter of 2022, having returned to the new ebb and flow of business after the pandemic, there’s no escaping that there’s been a shift in our consciousness about the environment, and this is finally having a meaningful impact on commercial real estate.

Sustainability is now high on the agenda of both our landlord and occupier clients no matter the asset class. Questions on EPC ratings, M&E plant, sustainable energy suppliers and waste disposal are much more common in the post-pandemic and post-COP26 world.

In this issue, our regional experts give their reflections upon how sustainability is having an impact on their section sector of the commercial real estate market, and highlight some of the changes that we are supporting driving, and the projects that are being implemented in the region.

We hope that our observations and views are of interest, and if you feel that we can help with your requirements, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

As an office, we continue to support a local charity each year and in 2022 we are delighted to be supporting
St Peter’s Hospice who provide care and support to adults who are living with progressive life-limiting illnesses in the Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset area. Our main fundraising event for the year will take place on Tuesday 4th October, where our team and many of our clients will canoe for nine miles on the River Wye. We anticipate a great day raising essential funds for the charity. If you'd like to support St Peter's Hospice as well, please consider making a donation here or join us by signing up here.
